The Furrquency brand book
A working guide to how Furrquency looks, sounds, and feels. Use it to keep new pages, partner assets, and outside writing on key.
Help pets rest, focus, and feel safe through calibrated sound, backed by animal-audiology research and built for the people who love them.
Curious pet parents who want gentle, science-aware tools. Vet techs, fosters, and trainers looking for a reliable in-home aid.
A calm palette built on terracotta and teal
The default experience is dark: a deep teal-navy canvas with warm sand text and terracotta accents. Light mode flips to cream with deeper terracotta for contrast. Colors are defined as semantic tokens in src/styles.css and should always be referenced by token, never by hex.
Dark mode (default)
Page canvas. Deep teal-navy that grounds every screen.
Cards, tiles, and the audio HUD.
Primary CTA, brand mark, the 'quency' wordmark accent.
Feline-mode accent, calm secondary highlights.
Body text and headlines on dark surfaces.
Secondary copy, captions, and helper text.
Light mode
Warm cream canvas for light mode.
Deeper terracotta for contrast on cream.
Forest sage for feline-mode accents.
Editorial accent for inline emphasis.
Sora for headlines, Manrope for everything else
Calm sound for calmer pets.
Use Sora for h1โh4, hero copy, and short editorial moments. Always set text-wrap: balance on headings.
Manrope handles paragraphs, UI labels, and long-form reading. Pairs cleanly with Sora and stays legible at small sizes.
Paragraphs use text-wrap: pretty to prevent single-word orphans.

JetBrains Mono is reserved for HUD chrome: frequency readouts, timecodes, and eyebrow labels. Keep it small, uppercase, and spaced.
The wordmark and the spinning paw
- The paw mark always sits inside a circular sand-colored badge with a dashed inner ring.
- The "quency" half of the wordmark is set in coral. Never recolor it for decoration.
- Minimum clear space equals the height of the paw badge on all four sides.
- Do not stretch, recolor the badge, or set the wordmark in a serif face.
Calm, curious, never clinical
Write like a thoughtful friend who happens to read veterinary papers. Specific, warm, a little dry. Confident about what the research shows and honest about what it doesn't.
Plain words
Use instead of utilize. Many instead of numerous. Standard contractions. Write to one person.
Concrete, sensory
Describe what the pet hears, what the room feels like, what the timer is counting down. Skip the abstract.
Cite, don't promise
Tie claims to research. Mark exploratory ideas clearly. Never imply Furrquency treats a medical condition.
Leave a little mess
Fragments. Start with And or But. Drop the perfectly balanced list when it would feel automated.
Say this, not that
Soft 396 Hz, sub-bass underneath. Most dogs settle within four minutes. Sit nearby, watch their breathing, and stop the session if they get up to leave.
Unlock the revolutionary power of frequency therapy! Our seamless platform leverages cutting-edge audio to maximize your pet's wellness journey.
HUD softness, not sci-fi cold
Rounded panels
1.5rem radius on cards and the audio bar. Generous padding. Layered surfaces over flat blocks.
Duotone photos
Pet photography is desaturated and washed in coral or sage to sit calmly inside the palette.
Calm motion
Breathing scales, gentle pulse rings, equalizer bars. Honor prefers-reduced-motion everywhere.
Monospaced HUD chrome
Eyebrow labels, frequency readouts, and timecodes use uppercase mono with wide tracking.
Fluid type and space
clamp()-based display sizes scale across viewports. No layout should depend on a single breakpoint.
Accessible by default
WCAG 2.1 AA contrast, visible focus rings, 44pt touch targets, semantic HTML on every page.
A short list of things to avoid
- Em dashes or en dashes in copy. Use commas or separate sentences.
- Banned words: game changer, leverage, unleash, dive into, seamless, crucial.
- Hex values hardcoded in components. Always use semantic tokens.
- Serif fonts anywhere in product UI.
- Implying Furrquency diagnoses, treats, or replaces veterinary care.
- Stretched, recolored, or rotated logo lockups.
